Brace is tackling the world of loss mitigation within the mortgage servicing space, offering a white-label experience for businesses to streamline borrower applications. Brace aims to make it simpler for folks to apply for help in times of uncertainty.

The Industry standard application completion rate is about 30%. In 4 months we increased it to 60%.

By making informed product decisions, we have been able to increase application completion rates. We do this by working closely with clients, to continuously iterate the user flow, while also taking into consideration the emotional state an applicant may be experiencing while applying for help.

Using application metrics, we get further insight on where users are having a hard time and where they drop off. We use this data and feedback from clients to back product decisions.

Coupled with the application flow, Brace has built its own tasked based servicing software. The current state of servicing is mostly done offline with mail, fax, and phone calls. Leveraging an in-house built investor rules engine, Brace can quickly decision applicants based on their needs.

Working with our clients, the Brace team is building out the MVP for our Servicing platform. I collaborate with the Product manager in the squad to get client and engineering buy-in on new feature requests and system improvements.
